The CERTIFIED SOMMELIER course is an international version of the WSA (Worldwide Sommelier Association) methodology, recognized globally and reputed as one of the best Sommelier programs in the world, thanks to over 70 years of professional experience and development. Strength points of this curriculum is the unique and patented ‘technical tasting method‘, the highest standard of service instruction and the globally acclaimed & patented ‘technical pairing methodology‘, for which the WSA curriculum is famous.
NASA (North American Sommelier Association) is the exclusive teaching institution of this internationally prestigious certification in the territory of the United States and Canada.
The certification ‘silver-pin’ and diploma is issued directly by the Worldwide Sommelier Association and recognized officially throughout the world.

The certificate Course “Sommelier” requires no previous professional wine although some basic wine experience is strongly recommended.
It is an incredible opportunity for people passionate about the glorious world of wine and to those whose familiarity lacks true breadth. It is a full Sommelier couse tailored to those who either already work in the wine & restaurant industries or those who desire to obtain the highest possible education.
The course will include tasting of more than 100 of the finest wines and spirits and is split into 3 parts: Viticulture and enology, Enography – wines of the world and finally food & wine pairing. Food & wine pairing (3rd part) is the AIS curriculum’s biggest strength worldwide and a distinction for which it is highly regarded throughout the globe, having developed a highly functional, unique technical method and chart, trademark of the Italian Sommelier Association (AIS).
Students must complete and successfully pass the examination at the end of all 3 levels to attain the internationally recognized “WSA CERTIFIED SOMMELIER” certification.
COURSE ITINERARY:
- First phase: Enology, Viticulture + Wine Tasting Technique
- Second phase: International Enography (the wines of the world) + Service
- Third phase: Food & food categories + Technical Food&Wine Pairing
- Written & oral examination (tasting, pairing, knowledge)
- Possibility to obtain the ‘Gold Pin’ certification*
- Possibility to continue & obtain various ‘MASTERS’ certificates**
